BushProof participated in an extensive assessment looking at the social and technical aspects of implementation of reverse osmosis desalinisation units in different villages along the south-west coast of Madagascar in the Toliary region. The assessment was done alongside our partner Elemental Water Makers, and represents an option to provide freshwater to coastal villages in this region.
BushProof’s workshop is building 350 Canzee handpumps for MEDAIR’s programme implemented in the North-East of Madagascar. Delivery is being made in three phases between September 2014 and June 2015.
One of BushProof drilling teams drilled four pumping wells in the centre of Antananarivo to treat a plume of fuel found to be contaminating the aquifer from a leaking tank at a service station. The contaminated groundwater will be treated after pumping and re-injected into the aquifer.
